According to reports, the Volkswagen Microbus, an electric vehicle with an incredibly streamlined appearance, will arrive in the U.S by 2023.

Based on the Volkswagen Microbus debut back in 2017, the Microbus was intended to arrive in 2022; this is only true for Germany, though. For those of us in the U.S, we’ll have to wait an extra year, possibly in the spring of 2023.

The factory where the Microbus will be built is located in Germany, alongside another hugely anticipated electric van. The factory still needs to have a few extra elements implemented into the building, resulting in its delayed release.

Furthermore, Volkswagen is building another ID.3 crossover and ID.4 hatchback, both based on the same MEB platform that the Microbus is built on.

The ID Buzz concept was initially debuted at the Detroit Auto Show back in 2017, which quickly raised heads. Soon after, the production had begun after debuting the design.

To add to this, Volkswagen posted the Microbus as a cargo van, just before unveiling the ID Cargo Buzz concept only two years ago, in 2018, further confirming production for it too.

The team over at Volkwagen had shared that the Cargo Buzz would go on sale in 2022. Despite this, production may be pushed to 2023, releasing around the same time as the Microbus.

A notable feature about the Microbus is that it features a solar roof that can add up to 9.3 miles worth of driving said Volkswagen. A useful element for those who travel.
