You are seriously considering buying an EV, want to stay within reasonable budget, but want your car to really stand out from the crowd? You’ve already checked Hyundai Ioniq 5 and it looks very appealing. Here’s another option that should blow your socks away – Kia EV6. A futuristic Electric Vehicle that has not only the looks, but also the performance.
Both Hyundai and Kia models are using the same electric-global modular platform (E-GMP) and powertrain.
After a closer look you can see that Hyundai is leaning towards a more retro look while Kia took a futurist approach.
If you like crossovers, EV6 would work a little better for you. It is 2.3 inches longer, has slightly bigger cargo space than Ioniq 5.
The interior definitely matches the exterior feel. Bright ambient lights, two 12-inch screen (one for instrument panel and the other one for multimedia system), augmented reality heads-up display, vegan leather seats – all of this reminds you of a movie with cars flying over the foggy landscapes of extremely tall skyscrapers.
Kia will be offering 6 different variants with a choice of 58 or 77.4-kwh battery and you can pick a rear or allwheel drive. With 800-volt DC charging you can go from 10 to 80% within 18 mins.
With the socket between the rear seats, you can use your EV6 to power your electronics, appliances, etc.
The final verdict? Kia definitely looks like a car I can picture myself in. It will draw attention on the roads and will have all the electronic features I’m looking for an a modern car
You can pre-order your EV6 starting July 3rd and they should start hitting dealerships in early 2022
