October 2006 Marine direct drive Propeller and Winch systems PML Flightlink EW Series In Wheel Motors have successfully been adopted by the marine market for various applications and aquatic electric propulsion systems ranging from high torque submerged winch drives through to prop drives for surface, and submersible vessels. The modular internal construction allows ‘direct drive’, ‘high torque’, ‘low speed’ applications to be achieved and thus removing the need for in-efficient gearheads traditionally found in electric boat motors. Direct drive propeller motor. Oil filled and pressure compensated for deep submersion work. Motor gives 24Nm up to 450rpm. The EW series motors are supplied to IP68 rating as standard with oil filled pressure compensated versions available for deep operation. Units are customised to customers required specifications covering mechanical details, voltage, speed, and torque. Internal Hi Pa Drive technology can be incorporated. Direct drive winch motor, oil filled, and pressure compensated. Motor gives 6000Nm peak torque up to 200rpm. These submersible electric motors are used in deep water application.
